The SWE Wine Academy
The Society of Wine Educators offers a comprehensive, interactive series of on-line study modules: The SWE Wine Academy.
This Academy represents the first on-line educational offering that is officially tied into an international certification program in wine. It is designed to increase wine knowledge while preparing users to sit for the Society’s rigorous Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) exam.
The SWE Wine Academy is divided into fifteen study units:

- Wine Chemistry & Composition
- Winemaking
- Wine Service, Etiquette and Appreciation
Each interactive study module is comprised of a pre-test, mini-quizzes, and a post-test. Scoring is immediate. A bookmarking feature allows the student to pick up a lesson where last left off, and questions are shuffled if a student opts to re-take any knowledge challenge.
An optional 100-question multiple choice test, designed to serve as “a litmus test for readiness” for the Certified Specialist of Wine exam, is part of the study program. Students are given 60 minutes to execute the test and their result is tabulated upon completion.
This program takes wine education to the next level by providing a dynamic learning environment that is 24/7 and completely user-friendly.
